Throughout the year, Js Couture hosts a carefully curated calendar of designer trunk shows, collection previews and special bridal events at our boutique in Marylebone, Central London.
A trunk show gives you the opportunity to discover an extended selection from a designer, including gowns that we may not normally have available in the boutique.
What is a trunk show?
A trunk show allows us to welcome an extended collection of wedding dresses directly from the designer for a limited period.
These gowns are usually the designer’s original showroom samples and are often the very same dresses used for campaign photography, collection previews and designer photoshoots.
There is generally only one sample of each dress, making a trunk show a particularly special opportunity to try styles that may only be with us for a few days.
The trunk show sample itself is not normally for sale. It is there for you to try before we place a new order with the designer in the appropriate size and specification.
What sizes are the trunk show dresses?
Trunk show samples most commonly arrive in a UK8 or UK10, with some gowns occasionally available in a UK14.
As there is normally only one sample of each style, sizing can be limited. Our experienced bridal team will help you understand the shape, proportions and fit of the gown and discuss how it would look when ordered in the correct size for you.
If there is a particular dress you would love to try, let us know before your appointment and we can advise on the sample size where possible.
Why visit during a trunk show?
A trunk show gives you access to gowns that may not normally be part of our permanent collection.
It is particularly exciting if you already love a designer, want to see new-season dresses or are looking for something a little different.
Designers may also offer special trunk show incentives, exclusive offers or gifts with purchase.
These vary from event to event and are not always available, but they can make a trunk show an especially lovely time to find your wedding dress.
Private bridal appointments in Marylebone
Our trunk show appointments are personal, relaxed and focused entirely on you.
You will have dedicated time with our bridal team to explore the collection, try carefully selected gowns and talk through everything from silhouette and fabric to your venue, season and overall wedding style.
Due to high demand, selected trunk show appointments may run alongside another bridal appointment. You will still receive dedicated attention from our experienced team throughout your visit.
Appointments are limited and our most sought-after dates can fill quickly.
Availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so we always recommend requesting your appointment as early as possible.
